De 1968 até 1978 Ozzy foi vocalista do Black Sabbath, grupo inglês considerado precursor do Heavy Metal. Após deixar a banda iniciou sua carreira solo.

Como artista solo, Ozzy lançou músicas que se tornaram hinos do Heavy Metal como “Mr. Crowley”, “Crazy Train” e “You Can’t Kill Rock n’ Roll”.
