Sting - Fragile (Live)

Gordon Matthew Sumner, nasceu em 2 de outubro de 1951 em Newcastle, Inglaterra. O termo "Sting" ou "ferroada" foi concebido a ele por colegas de escola durante uma apresentação onde uma abelha entrou em sua calça pelas pernas. Essa gozação se transformou em nome, o qual levou para a sua banda The Police onde era baixista e vocalista e perdura até hoje. Sting, que já era conhecido no Brasil como baixista do grupo The Police, tornou-se ainda mais famoso após a turnê do disco Nothing Like the Sun, realizada no país em 1987. Após um memorável show realizado em novembro daquele ano no Estádio do Maracanã, iniciou viagens pela Amazônia, onde conheceu o Cacique Raoni. Após essa amizade, Sting passou a defender a causa ecológica. Seu primeiro trabalho solo entitulado "The Dream Of Blue Turtles" lançado pela A&M Records em 1985 e foi recebido com entusiasmo pela critica mundial. Logo depois,no mesmo ano, Sting convocou alguns musicos de jazz para iniciar sua primeira turnê mundial de onde nascera o glorioso album "Bring On The Night", apesar do receio dos executivos da A&M Records demonstrarem por ser uma turnê um tanto "experimental" pela diferença de estilos entre o cantor e a banda. Sting foi agraciado pela Rainha Elizabeth II com o titulo de Sir denominado "Comandante do Império Britânico".
